2013 Social Impact Summit
April 2013, CAUSE hosted its first ever Social Impact Summit to over 170 students, professors, and professionals in DeKalb, Illinois at the Barsema Alumni and Visitor Center. The lineup consisted of Megan Kashner, founder of Benevolent.net, and Chuck Templeton, managing director of Impact Engine. Two breakout sessions encompassed topics on the social business models of Light Up Africa (LUA) and Panzanzee, as well as sustainable business practices of Groupon and PwC. Innovation topics in sustainable architecture and water conservation were also covered. See below for more information on any of our speakers from SIS 2013.
